The cream of British fashion journalism – Dean Mayo Davies, Ben Reardon and Lou Stoppard – will be discussing the indomitable body of design work produced by Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood at tomorrow’s event Be Reasonable Demand The Impossible.

Their session at London’s Central Saint Martins will also include screening of footage from a compilation McLaren DVD made a few years back for the Pompidou Centre in Paris; this includes rare film of the catwalk shows for the S/S 1982 collection Savages and the same year’s A/W Nostalgia Of Mud (also known as Buffalo).

Interspersed are sections from a lecture McLaren gave in the mid-00s on authenticity and the exuberant clip for one of the Duck Rock album tracks.

Writer-at-large Davies, Man About Town editor-in-chief Reardon and Stoppard, who is editor at SHOWStudio, will be giving their take on the game-changing nature of McLaren and Westwood’s fashion partnership between 1971 and 1984.
